Using Your Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) Onboard
If you intend to use your POC during your flight, please follow these steps:
- Submit the Medical Accommodation Form. This form needs to be completed by your physician and emailed to Flair Accessibility Services at accessibility@flyflair.com at least 48 hours before departure.
- Once approved, we will confirm your medical device arrangements in writing.
- Medical accommodations for your POC are valid for one year from the physician's completion date. After that, a new form must be submitted if you plan to travel beyond the expiry date.
- Operate independently: You must know how to set up and use your device without crew assistance. If you are not self-reliant, you must travel with a support person.
- Travel with copies of both the completed Medical Accommodation Form and the confirmation of approval document from Flair Airlines for easy reference during your journey.
- Aircraft power outlets cannot be used to operate medical devices.as they are not designed for such use. We are not liable for any harm or damage caused by attempting to use the power supply for medical devices.
- Please bring enough battery power for your total travel time.
- Bring enough fully charged batteries for at least 1.5 times your total expected travel time (including connections and potential delays).
- If your device must be removed from the cabin for stowage, we will consult with you on how it should be prepared and stored, and will give it priority handling over other baggage.
