All Passengers, Regardless of Age:
Adults, children, and infants are required to have a valid passport for international travel. We are unable to make exceptions to these requirements.
- A valid Passport
- Emergency Travel Document/Passport
Each country may also have specific travel requirements such as:
- Tourist Visas
- Passport expiration limitations
It is the responsibility of each passenger to ensure they have the necessary documents for travel and always travel with the proper documentation at all times. Please advise passengers to reach out to the applicable country’s border services for more information.
NEXUS Cards:
Please see our article about NEXUS Cards in our Prepare for Travel section for more information on your eligibility to travel without a passport, depending on your citizenship, residency, and country of departure.
Even if you are eligible to travel on just a NEXUS Card, we strongly recommend that you travel with a valid passport when travelling outside Canada, even to the United States, as some officers may ask you to prove your citizenship and/or permanent residence status linked to your membership.
